Cibona brings Zizic back after 6 years
Cibona Zagreb signed veteran big man Andrija Zizic, who returns to the club he last played for in January 2005. Zizic (2.06 meters, 31 years old) grew up with Split and then made his Euroleague debut with Cibona in the 2003-04 season. He averaged 14.5 points and 7.8 rebounds in a breakout campaign for Cibona the next year, but transferred to FC Barcelona in the middle of that season. Since then he has played for Olympiacos and Panathinaikos in Greece, Galatasaray in Turkey, Zaragoza in Spain, Asvel Basket in France and Cedevita in Croatia. Zizic started last season with Asvel, for whom he played in the Turkish Airlines Euroleague Qualifying Rounds and then the Eurocup. He averaged 8.8 points and 7 rebounds in four Qualifying Round games. Zizic finished the season with Cedevita, for whom he averaged 9.7 points and 5 rebounds in the Croatian League. Among his career highlights are winning two Croatian League championships, one Greek League title and one Greek Cup.
