PAOK lands Dikoudis
Demos DikoudisTurkish Airlines Euroleague hopeful bolstered its frontcourt for the upcoming Qualifying Rounds by inking veteran power forward Demos Dikoudis to a one-year deal on Saturday. Dikoudis (2.06 meters, 34 years old) arrives from AEK Athens, where he averaged 14.1 points, 5.3 rebounds and 1.3 assists in 24 Greek League games last season. Dikoudis has also played for Perseas Larissa, Olympia Larissa, Panathinaikos, Panionios and Aris in Greece, Valencia in Spain and CSKA Moscow in Russia. He  helped Panathinaikos to win its fourth Euroleague title in 2007 and also lifted the 2000 Saporta Cup trophy with AEK. Dikoudis also helped CSKA to make it to the Euroleague Final Four in 2005. He has won three Greek League titles, one with AEK in 2002 and two more with Panathinaikos in 2007 and 2008. He also lifted the Russian League trophy with CSKA in 2005. Dikoudis has also lifted five national cup titles, four in Greece - AEK 2000, 2001, Panathinaikos 2007, 2008 - and one in Greece - CSKA 2005. Dikoudis has also been a regular member of the Greek national team, helping it to win EuroBasket 2005 and make it to the 2006 FIBA World Championship finals.
