Motiejunas (2.13 meters, 21 years old) comes off a strong season in which he averaged 10.9 points and 5.6 rebounds to help Benetton reach the Eurocup Finals. He also produced 13.1 points and 4.4 rebounds per game in the Italian League. Motiejunas has long been regarded as an elite prospect. A native of Kaunas, Lithuania, and a product of the Zalgiris-Sabonio mokykla school, he debuted in the Euroleague for Zalgiris shortly after his 17th birthday. Motiejunas garnered attention and awards on the junior circuit, including being chosen to the All-Tournament team at the 2008 Euroleague Nike International Junior Tournament in Madrid and later earning MVP honors and winning a silver medal with the Lithuanian national team at the European Under-18 championships. After a season on loan to Aisciai Kaunas, Motiejunas moved to Italy, where he has spent the past two seasons.
