EA7 Emporio Armani Milano has only made it to the Top 16 once in its last five Turkish Airlines Euroleague appearance but is determined to change its luck this season. Milano put together a star-studded roster and found a new coach in two-time EuroBasket winner Sergio Scariolo – a man who knows what it takes to win games. Milano also signed very experienced players that will try to use their winning habits to help the club to lift its first trophy in 15 years. Milano has brought a couple of proven winners in power forward Antonis Fotsis and shooting guard Drew Nicholas, as both players combine for five Euroleague titles. Its roster was also fully reloaded with addition like former All-Euroleague center Ioannis Bourousis and talented prospect Leon Radosevic. Of course, the most exciting addition from Milano fans is that of former Euroleague Rising Star trophy winner Danilo Gallinari, who comes back to the club where he made a name for himself.

Jeffrey Viggiano - AJ Milano

Experience and talent is all over Milano's backcourt. Cook has led the Top 16 in assists in each of the last three seasons, which says enough about his court vision and ability to deliver in crunch time. Jacopo Giachetti is an experienced point guard with character and good driving skills. Ariel Filloy will be Scariolo's third option at point guard. Milano needed fire power and added it by inking Nicholas, a former Euroleague and NCAA Tournament champion. Nicholas won the Alphonso Ford Top Scoring trophy in the last and is ready to keep filling the baskets all across the continent. Gallinari is a crafty player with a feel for the game, and with a deadly shot from anywhere on the floor. The old/new Milano star is able to easily create scoring opportunities for himself and his teammates. Also at small forward, Hairston is an all-around player who earnt MVP honors in 2 of the 4 Quarterfinal Playoffs games he played with Montepaschi Siena. Athletic and ready, Hairston will be Milano's do-it-all swingman on the floor. Athletic forward Jeffrey Viggiano will see limited minutes at small forward.

Milano’s frontcourt is more experience that it has been in many years, as Bourousis, Fotsis and Stefano Mancinelli have more than 100 Euroleague games each. All three have an excellent inside-outside game that will give coach Scariolo a great amount of options to stretch the opponent’s defenses. Fotsis is a three-time Euroleague champion with size, range and clutch. Mancinelli has evolved to the power forward position, making the most out of his great post moves and quickness around the basket. Bourousis is one of the best rebounders in European basketball, always productive at both ends. Nicolo Melli is back for a second Euroleague season. Despite being the youngest player on the team, Melli can offer intimidation, size and points in the paint. Radosevic comes off an outstanding season with Cibona in which he surprised everyone with his ballhandling, quickness and determination. Mason Rocca will do what he does best - hustle, provide energy, offensive rebounds and intensity, always as a team-oriented big man. Expect Milano to break with its recent past, challenge for titles and - if everything goes as expected - start a new era with Scariolo as its visible boss.
