Partizan mt:s lands Macvan on loan from Maccabi
Milan Macvan - Maccabi ElectraPartizan mt:s struck a deal with Maccabi Electra Tel Aviv to get big man Milan Macvan on loan for the season. Macvan (206 meters, 21 years old) helped Maccabi reach the Turkish Airlines Euroleague title game last season during which he averaged 3.5 points and 1.7 rebounds in 12 games. He also tallied 6.6 points and 2.7 rebounds in the Israeli League to help Maccabi win the championship. This season Macvan had appeared in two Adriatic League games with Maccabi during which he averaged 7 points and 2 rebounds in 13 minutes. Macvan signed a long-term deal with Maccabi last December and will return to the club next season.

Macvan came up through the FMP youth system and then played parts of four seasons for Hemofarm Stada before joining Maccabi. He reached the Eurocup semifinals as a teenager in 2008-09 and earned the Eurocup Rising Star Trophy award that season along the way. Macvan has also been a featured member of a golden generation of Serbian youth national teams that won gold medals in European and World championships. He graduated to win a silver medal with the senior national team at EuroBasket 2009 and to reach the semifinals of the 2010 FIBA World Championships in Turkey. He averaged 7.4 points and 4.1 rebounds in 11 games for Serbia this past summer at EuroBasket 2011.
