SLUC Nancy's Linehan sets Euroleague assist mark
John Linehan - SLUC NancySLUC Nancy playmaker John Linehan set a new Euroleague record with 15 assists on Thursday night in Istanbul. The previous record of 14 assists in a game came twice. Linehan broke the record with a pass to Nicolas Batum for a three-pointer with 11 seconds remaining. Despite his performance, host Fenerbahce Ulker won the game 90-86. Linehan, 33, is a Turkish Airlines Euroleague rookie accomplishing this feat in just his third Euroleague game. He totaled 7 assists in his first two appearances.

Tyus Edney first set the record with Benetton Treviso in a February 2004 regular season win at Olympiacos. Former Euroleague MVP Theo Papaloukas, who today plays for Maccabi Electra, matched the record in a December 2009 win at Entente Orleanaise when he played for Olympiacos.
