Caja Laboral keeps Ribas through 2015
Pau Ribas - Caja LaboralAfter two seasons together, and despite sharing a contract that lasted two more, Caja Laboral and combo guard Pau Ribas reached an agreement Monday to stay together even longer, through the middle of the decade. Caja Laboral announced a two-year extension to their existing contract, taking it through the end of the 2014-15 season. Ribas arrived to Vitoria for the 2009-10 season from Joventut Badalona, where he grew up as a player. In his first two seasons with the team, he and Caja Laboral reached the Turkish Airlines Euroleague Playoffs together, but lost both series in the fourth games. They won the Spanish League title together in 2010. So far this season, Ribas is averaging 5.3 points, 3.0 rebounds and 1 assist in 16 minutes per game of Turkish Airlines Euroleague action as Caja Laboral remains one of five undefeated teams so far. Ribas made his debut as a pro player in 2005-06 under coach Aito Garcia Reneses and he was part of the Joventut team that won the Spanish King's Cup and the ULEB Cup in 2007-08. He also won the 2005-06 FIBA EuroCup with Joventut.
