KK Zagreb nets playmaker T.J. Ford
TJ Ford joins KK Zagreb (Photo: CT Snow)KK Zagreb turned overseas to find a veteran playmaker and signed TJ Ford. The move comes several weeks after the club released Diante Garrett. Ford (1.83 meters, 28 years old) comes to Europe for the first time after spending seven seasons in the NBA. He averaged 11.4 points and 5.9 assists over 415 NBA games playing for Milwaukee, Toronto and Indiana. His best season from an individual perspective was 2006-07 when he averaged 14 points and was sixth in the league with 7.9 assists per game for Toronto. Last season Ford tallied 5.4 points and 3.4 assists over 41 appearances for Indiana. Before entering the NBA, Ford enjoyed a standout college basketball career at the University of Texas, where he led the Longhorns to the 2003 NCAA final four and won the prestigious John R. Wooden Award and the Naismith College Player of the Year trophy.
