Valencia adds versatile forward Rudez
Valencia Basket reached a short-term agreement with forward Damjan Rudez, who signed a three-month deal with his new team on Thursday. Rudez (2.05 meters, 31 years old) arrives from Orlando of the NBA, where he averaged 1.9 points in 44 games last season. He started his career with Zrinjevac Zagreb of his native Croatia. Rudez also played for Telindus Ostend of Belgium, Split, Cedevita Zagreb and Cibona Zagreb of Croatia, Indiana and Minnesota of the NBA, Union Olimpija Ljubljana of Slovenia and CAI Zaragoza of Spain. He helped Ostend win the Belgian League title in 2006, clinched the Slovenian double - league and cup titles - with Olimpija in 2009, as well as lifting the Croatian League trophy with Cibona in 2012. Rudez is also a regular member of the Croatian national team. Rudez played the 2008-09 EuroLeague with Olimpija, averaging 5.5 points in 10 games, and reached the EuroCup semifinals with Cedevita in 2011.
