Barcelona adds top bomber Kuric

FC Barcelona Lassa added a serious perimeter weapon with the signing of shooting guard Kyle Kuric to a two-year deal, the club announced. Kuric (1.93 meters, 28 years old) arrives from Zenit St. Petersburg, where he averaged 15.3 points on 43.3% three-point shooting and 3.5 rebounds in 19 7DAYS EuroCup games last season. He was chosen as the 2017-18 EuroCup Top 16 MVP after he averaged 22.5 points on 57.1% three-point shooting (24-of-42) in that phase. Kuric was also chosen to the All-EuroCup Second Team for the second time in his career; he previously achieved that honor with Herbalife Gran Canaria during the 2014-15 season. Kuric led Gran Canaria to the 2015 EuroCup Finals, but his next season was interrupted when doctors discovered he had a brain tumor. After three surgeries, Kuric fought back from the life-threatening situation to return to Gran Canaria at the end of the season and he was as good as ever. He started his career with Estudiantes Madrid before joining Gran Canaria in 2014 and moving to Zenit in 2017. Kuric is set to make his Turkish Airlines EuroLeague debut with Barcelona after a brilliant EuroCup run. Kuric averaged 14.6 points during his four seasons in the competition and ranks 21st on the all-time scoring list (905 points), third in three-pointers made (174) and ninth in three-point shooting percentage (46.8%) in just 62 career games. He also helped the University of Louisville reach the NCAA Tournament final four in 2012.
