10.- Maccabi FOX Tel Aviv - Real Madrid. It is the most repeated game in European club competitions and that says enough. Maccabi and Madrid had great battles for decades and a deep respect for each other with is seen on the court. Maccabi is trying to change things and it will find no better test than taking on the reigning Turkish Airlines EuroLeague champions at home.
9.- Panathinaikos Athens - CSKA Moscow. Both teams faced each other in the 2007 and 2009 EuroLeague Championship Games and Panathinaikos took both wins. We will see two proud teams with tremendous winning mentality, rich tradition and which combine for 13 continental crowns. Rest assured, the atmosphere at Olympic Sports Hall in Athens will be epic.
8.- KIROLBET Baskonia Vitoria Gasteiz vs CSKA Moscow. It is a rivalry built in the mid-2000s, one of the first ones in the new century. It will arguably be the most anticipated game at Fernando Buesa Arena in the whole Regular Season, before the playoffs and, of course, the Final Four in this very same building. Expect all the good things you can find in a good EuroLeague game - action, drama, great fans and awesome basketball.
7.- CSKA Moscow vs Real Madrid. The two winningest teams in continental history are also two of the last three Turkish Airlines EuroLeague champions. European giants whose sports rivalry go back more than half a decade - Madrid and CSKA faced each other in the 1963, 1965 and 1969 EuroLeague finals - still competitive at the highest level and rewriting their own history in the 21st century.
6.- Real Madrid vs Olympiacos. Both teams faced each other in three Turkish Airlines EuroLeague Championship Games - Madrid won in 1995 and 2015, Olympiacos lifted the trophy against Los Blancos in 2013. Two of the best scorers in competition history, Vassilis Spanoulis and Sergio Llull, go against each other. Needless to say, two of the biggest leaders European basketball has seen in recent years, too.
5.- CSKA Moscow vs Fenerbahce Istanbul. In the last five games, three of their showdown have gone to overtime - including the 2016 Championship game - and another one was won by Nando De Colo with a buzzer-beating jumper. Dimitris Itoudis take on his mentor Zeljko Obradovic in a battle between two EuroLeague-winning mastermind. How great can this game be? Well, the sky is the only limit.
4.- Zalgiris Kaunas vs CSKA Moscow. CSKA's visit to Kaunas is always witnessed by thousands of fans ready to see their team win. Truth is, Zalgiris and CSKA have a sports rivalry that goes back several decades. CSKA won eight consecutive games in Kaunas but Zalgiris won the last couple of games at Zalgirio Arena and downed CSKA again in last season's Third Place Game. Expect intensity in a strong, interesting basketball game.
3.- Fenerbahce Istanbul vs Real Madrid. It is a classic showdown in recent years. Madrid beat Fenerbahce in the 2018 Championship Game. Fenerbahce downed Madrid in the 2017 semifinals and the 2016 playoffs. Madrid struck first in the 2015 semifinals. All big games deep in the competition. With a lot of players involved in both teams' rising sports rivalry and arguably two of the greatest coaches in basketball right now, the sky is the limit.
2.- Olympiacos Piraeus vs Panathinaikos Athens. The Greek derby is a must-watch showdown between a sports rivalry second to none in European basketball. Both teams exchanged road wins last season, which adds even more anticipation to this showdown. No Olympiacos fans wants to see his team lose against the Greens at home - and the other way around. Intensity, drama and great basketball - what a perfect combination!
1.- FC Barcelona Lassa vs Real Madrid. El Clasico is always a top-class game, followed by millions of fans worldwide. Both teams have marked this game down as soon as the calendar came out, but Barcelona has a lot of prove in front of its fans at Palau Blaugrana. In its last two EuroLeague games in Barcelona, Madrid won by a combined difference of 66 points - 63-102 and 74-101. Expect a great atmosphere, as always, in this anticipated game.
