Caja Laboral signs Golubovic at center
Vladimir Golubovic - Union OlimpijaCaja Laboral turned to a familiar face to help bolster its frontline by signing center Vladimir Golubovic two a two-month contract – pending a physical. Golubovic (2.12 meters, 25 years old) played briefly for Laboral in the past when he signed a short-term deal in February 2010 to help the club when it faced injury problems. He arrives from Ukrainian side Azovmash, for whom he scored 2 points and grabbed 8 rebounds in one Eurocup game this season. Golubovic averaged 7.9 points and 4.1 rebounds in nine Ukrainian League games this season. He began his career with Vojvodina Novi Sad in Serbia and later joined Olimpija Ljubljana for a season-and-a-half, where he made his Euroleague debut in 2008. In all he took part in 20 Euroleague games and averaged 7.2 points and 4.3 rebounds per game. He played last season in Turkey with Banvit BK. Among Golubovic’s career highlights are winning the Slovenian League in 2009, collecting two Slovenian and one Spanish Kings’ Cups.
