Union Olimpija signs playmaker Mocnik again
Jan Mocnik - Union Olimpija LjubljanaUnion Olimpija turned to former player Jan Mocnik to bolster its backcourt. Mocnik (1.76 meters, 24 years old) agreed to terms for the remainder of the season. The playmaker returns to Olimpija, where he spent the 2007-08 season and averaged 1.1 points and 1.3 assists as a reserve in 11 Euroleague games and 2.4 points and 1.6 assists in 20 Adriatic League appearances. He grew up in the Slovenian town of Nova Gorica and began his basketball career there. He later played for Kraski Zidar Sezana before joining Olimpija in 2007. In that season with Olimpija, Mocnik helped the team win the Slovenian League. He has since played for PGB Basket Poznan in Poland, Postojna in Slovenia and Snaidero Udine in Italy.
