Always seen as an up-and-coming talent, Alexey Shved has fulfilled his potential this season and confirmed his status as one of the best young combo guards in the European scene. Despite making his Euroleague debut with CSKA Moscow back in the 2007-08 season, Shved did not see solid minutes on the court until coach Jonas Kazlauskas joined the team last season.

Life gives you second opportunities sometimes and Georgios Printezis is making the most of his second stint with Olympiacos BC Piraeus. Printezis battled injuries during his two seasons with Unicaja, but has returned to the Reds to become one of the best sixth men in the 2011-12 Turkish Airlines Euroleague regular season and his best moments are yet to come.

An All-Euroleague Second Team selection last season, Dusko Savanovic is in his first year with Anadolu Efes and looks ready to lead his team all the way to the Final Four. Surrounded by reliable centers Stanko Barac, Ermal Kuqo and Esteban Batista, Savanovic is the only pure power forward on the Efes roster, which says plenty about his importance in the team.

Quietly, Luksa Andric has settled into a role as one of Galatasaray Medical Park’s most consistent and most productive players in helping to lead the Turkish Airlines Euroleague newcomer to the Top 16. The 26-year-old center leads the team in scoring and is second in both offensive rebounding and fouls drawn, all of which have played crucial parts in the team’s success.
