Unicaja's Freeland injured
Joel Freeland - UnicajaUnicaja lost star big man Joel Freeland for at least the first two games of the Turkish Airlines Euroleague Top 16 on Thursday with a badly sprained right ankle. Freeland hurt himself during the team's morning practice on Thursday and was brought to a local hospital. Further medical tests confirmed a Grade 2 sprain affecting the lateral collateral ligament. Freeland was the Unicaja player to start all 10 regular season games and led the team with averages of 13.1 points and 6.8 rebounds per game.

In other Unicaja news, small forward Tremmell Darden has moved on to the last stage of his recovery. Darden has been out for more than a month due to a left hand injury.
