Maccabi big man James out 6 weeks
Shawn James - Maccabi ElectraMaccabi Electra announced that big man Shawn James will be sidelined for an estimated six weeks with a back injury.It was discovered that James, who is in his first season with the team, has a slipped disc. He is being treated through physical therapy. In nine Turkish Airlines Euroleague games this season, James averaged 2.8 points, 2.1 rebounds and 0.9 blocks over eight-and-a-half minutes per game.

"It’s not a simple injury, but with proper treatment and rehab, I hope his recovery will be as short as possible," head coach David Blatt said. "We absolutely need Shawn on the Maccabi Electra Tel Aviv roster and we will wait patiently for him to recover and contribute in his way."
