Top 16, Week 5 Playoff possibilities
Turkish Airlines EuroleagueWhen the teams of the Turkish Airlines Euroleague Top 16 return to the court, all will face similar situations in that their Top 16, Week 5 games are paramount. Seven of the eight spots in the playoffs could be decided by the end of Week 5 – and first place and with it home-court advantage in the best-of-five playoffs could be clinched in three groups too – though it is also possible theoretically that all the playoffs spots will wait until the Top 16 finales. The situations in Groups F and H – the only groups with both an unbeaten and a winless team – state that there will be some resolution this week, with at least 1 team advancing or at least one team getting eliminated. TIEBREAKERS

When all teams have played each other twice:

1 - Best record in head-to-head games between all tied teams.
2 - Higher cumulative score difference in head-to-head games between all tied teams.
3 - Higher cumulative score difference for the entire phase.
4 - Higher total of points scored for the entire phase.
5 - Higher sum of quotients of points in favor and points against of each match played.


GROUP E

  • CSKA Moscow will clinch a ticket to the playoffs and first place in Group E if it beats Olympiacos.
  • Anadolu Efes will be eliminated if it loses at GS Medical Park.


GROUP F

  • Montepaschi Siena will clinch a playoffs spot and first place if it beats Gescrap BB. Montepaschi will also clinch a playoffs spot even if it loses if Unicaja beats Real Madrid.
  • Gescrap BB will clinch a playoffs spot if it beats Montepaschi and Unicaja beats Real Madrid.
  • Real Madrid will be eliminated if it loses to Unicaja and Gescrap beats Montepaschi.
  • Unicaja will be eliminated if it loses at Madrid or if Gescrap beats Montepaschi.


GROUP G

  • Unics Kazan will clinch a playoffs spot if it beats Fenerbahce Ulker; or if it loses by fewer than 5 points and Panathinaikos beats EA7 Emporio Armani.
  • Panathinaikos will clinch a playoffs spot if it beats EA7 Emporio Armani; or if it loses by fewer than 21 points.
  • Fenerbahce Ulker will be eliminated if it loses to Unics; or if it wins by less than 5 points and Panathinaikos beats EA7 Emporio Armani.
  • EA7 Emporio Armani will be eliminated if it loses to Panathinaikos; or of it wins by fewer than 21 points.


GROUP H

  • FC Barcelona Regal will clinch a playoffs spot and first place if it beats Bennet Cantu. Barcelona will also clinch a playoffs spot even if it loses and Zalgiris beats Maccabi Electra.
  • Maccabi Electra will clinch a playoffs spot if it beats Zalgiris Kaunas and Barcelona beats Bennet Cantu.
  • Bennet Cantu will be eliminated if loses to Barcelona and Maccabi beats Zalgiris.
  • Zalgiris will be eliminated if loses to Maccabi or if Cantu beats Barcelona.
