Montepaschi loses Thornton to broken hand
Bootsy Thornton - Montepaschi SienaMontepaschi Siena swingman Bootsy Thornton will miss Game 4 of the Turkish Airlines Euroleague Playoffs after suffering a broken ring finger on his left hand, which is also his shooting hand. He has a fractured fourth metacarpal and proximal phalanx on that finger. Thornton will undergo further evaluations and examinations when the team returns to Siena, upon which it will be determined if surgery is needed. Thornton, who is in his fourth season over three separate stints with Montepaschi, has helped the club to two previous Euroleague Final Four appearances. This season he has averaged 5.4 points and 2.8 rebounds over 11 games – eight of them as a starter.

Olympiacos duo questionable

Olympiacos center Joey Dorsey did not practice Thursday after taking two falls in Wednesday’s win, including one in the first quarter in when he banged his head on the court. Coach Ivkovic said Dorsey is questionable for Game 4. Also in question is the participation of point guard Acie Law, who did not finish practice due to a knee injury.
