Gran Canaria's Oliver becomes EuroLeague's oldest scorer

Herbalife Gran Canaria point guard Albert Oliver made Turkish Airlines EuroLeague history on Friday night. Oliver was the second-oldest rookie this centure when he walked on the floor in Istanbul to face perennial title contender Fenerbahce. Then, he became the oldest EuroLeague player to score this century when he made his first basket, a left-handed runner with 2:51 to go in the first quarter. At 40 years, 4 months and 8 days, Oliver set the new mark, surpassing the previous oldest scorer in the competition this century, legendary Italian center Denis Marconato, who scored his last points in the competition at the age of 40 years, 2 months and 26 days back on October 23, 2015.
