Caja Laboral inks Pleiss and Causeur
Fabien Causeur - Cholet BasketCaja Laboral of Spain jumped into the summer player market with both feet on Sunday, putting two of Europe's top young talents, big man Tibor Pleiss and shooting guard Fabien Causeur, on the roster for the next Turkish Airlines Euroleague season. Pleiss (2.13 meters, 22 years old) has played two Euroleague seasons with Brose Baskets Bamberg. He averaged 6.5 points and 5.4 rebounds in 18 minutes per game, making him the competition's ninth-best per-minute rebounder during the 10-game regular season. Pleiss has won three consecutive German League titles with Bamberg, before which he played three seasons with another German team, Cologne. Causeur (1.94 meters, 25 years old) arrives from Cholet Basket in France, where he played the last three seasons, winning the 2009-10 French League title. Causeur was the top scorer in the six-game Eurocup regular season last year with 21.8 points per game, to which he added 4.2 rebounds, 2.2 assists and 1.3 steals. He debuted with Cholet in the 2010-11 Euroleague, scoring 8.8 points on average through 4 games before his season was cut short by injury. Causeur played four years before that with another French team, Le Havre.
