CSKA Moscow lands signs savvy forward Micov
CSKA Moscow added one of the breakout stars of the 2011-12 Turkish Airlines Euroleague season by signing Vladimir Micov. The small forward was a major force in leading Bennet Cantu to the Top 16 and within a tiebreaker of the playoffs. Micov (2.01 meters, 27 years old) averaged 10.4 points, 4.1 rebounds and 3.2 assists per game in the Euroleague. In his role as point forward, he ranked second in the Top 16 with 5.3 assists per game. Micov also accounted for 11 points, 4 rebounds and 2.7 assists in the Italian League to help Cantu place third at the end of the regular season. That was his third campaign with the club after joining it midway through the 2009-10 season, which Micov began with Euroleague side Caja Laboral. Micov has also played for Panionios in Greece, Buducnost in Montenegro and Lavovi 063 Beograd, OKK, Beopetrol and Nova Pazova in his native Serbia. Among his career highlights are winning one Serbian and two Montenegrin League titles as well as a pair of Montenegrin Cup trophies.
