Oostende, Wright agree for two more seasons
Brent Wright - Spirou Charleroi_29474Turkish Airlines Euroleague hopeful Telenet Oostende agreed to terms with power forward Brent Wright to keep him with the club for two more seasons. Wright (2.03 meters, 34 years old) was a key force in delivering the 2012 Belgian League title to Oostende after averaging 11.2 points and 5.5 rebounds in just 23 minutes per game. The veteran big man has extended experience playing in Belgium. He first joined Oostende for the 2005-06 season, during which he led the team to the title. Wright later spent a season and a half with Spirou Charleroi, where he won two more league titles. Wright has two previous Euroleague seasons under his belt as a double-digit scorer. He averaged 12.3 points and 8 boards in his first season with Europe’s best in 2006-07 with Cibona Zagreb. In 2010-11, he tallied 10 points and 5.4 rebounds for Charleroi. Wright also was the 2004-05 ULEB Cup regular season MVP after compiling 19.7 points and 7.1 rebounds for Ventspils of Latvia. Wright has also played for Celana Bergamo in Italy, Maccabi Haifa in Israel, Plannja Basket in Sweden, Ural Great in Russia and BC Kyiv in Ukraine. He has won championships in Sweden, Latvia and Croatia and four titles in Belgium.
