Anadolu Efes holds on to Gonlum
Kerem Gonlum - Anadolu EfesAnadolu Efes has reached a new agreement with power forward Kerem Gonlum, who re-signed his contract until the end of the 2013-14 season, the club announced Tuesday. Gonlum (2.08 meters, 34 years old) is set to start his eighth season with the club. He missed most of the 2011-12 Turkish Airlines Euroleague season due to injury, only taking part in that game. Gonlum started his career in TED Kolejliler and soon joined Ulker, to which he helped to win the Turkish League title in 2001 and back-to-back Turkish Cup crowns in 2003 and 2004. He switched Euroleague powerhouses in summer 2005, joining Efes, winning another Turkish League title in 2009 and lifting three other Turkish Cup trophies in 2006, 2007 and 2009. Gonlum is a regular member of the Turkish national team and helped it to win a silver medal at the 2010 World Championships. Gonlum ranks eighth in the Euroleague's all-time rebounds list (840) and 27th in games played (163).
