Turkish Airlines Euroleague hopeful ratiopharm Ulm announced Monday the signing of top German talent Daniel Theis to a three-year deal. Theis (2.04 meters, 20 years old) joins the German League runner-up from New Yorker Phantoms Braunschweig, for whom he averaged 3.2 points and 1.5 rebounds in eight minutes per game last season. His breakout came with the German national team last summer. Theis pointed 12.7 points, 8.7 rebounds and 1.3 blocks per game at the European Under-20 Championships in Bilbao, Spain. He ranked fourth in the competition in rebounding, 10th in blocks and was a key force in leading the Germans to a fifth place finish.
