Aradori joins Cantu backcourt
Turkish Airlines Euroleague Qualifying Rounds challenger Pallacanestro Cantu put some youthful energy in its backcourt with the signing of swingman Pietro Aradori to a two-year deal. Aradori (1.94 meters, 23 years old) arrives from Montepaschi Siena, which he helped reach the 2011 Turkish Airlines Euroleague Final Four in Barcelona. Last season, Aradori earned the bwin MVP honor for Week 10 of the regular season thanks to career highs in performance index rating (33) and scoring (23) in a victory over Asseco Prokom Gdynia. Aradori finished the season with 4.8 points and 2 rebounds on average in 10 minutes per game. Over the last two seasons, he averaged 15.6 points, 4.8 rebounds and 2 assists in Euroleague games when he played more than 20 minutes. Aradori debuted as a part-time starter in the Euroleague as an 18-year-old with Armani Jeans Milano in the 2007-08 season. He previously played with AC Imola and for Virtus Roma and Biella, all in Italy, before joining Siena in 2010.
