Union Olimpija promotes Sulejmanovic

Emir SulejmanovicAs announced by the club on Tuesday, Union Olimpija Ljubljana signed a multiyear contract with young power forward Emir Sulejmanovic. Sulejmanovic (2.02 meters, 17 years old) was part of Union Olimpija's youth system last season with the junior team. In 2010-11 he played in Kaarinan Ura Basket of his native Finland and moved to Ljubljana for the past season. In the summer of 2011 he averaged 11.2 points and 9.0 rebounds in the U16 EuroBasket with Finland. He also played in the 2012 Nike International Junior Tournament in Belgrade with the Olimpija junior team where he averaged 9.0 points and 6.2 rebounds in 5 games. This next 2012-13 season, Sulejmanovic will bea part of the senior team and therefore will make his debut in the Turkish Airlines Euroleague.
