Union Olimpija tabs elite prospect Prepelic

Klemen Prepelic  - Slovenia (Photo: FIBA Europe/Castoria/Marchi)Union Olimpija Ljubljana announced Thursday that it signed top Slovenian prospect Klemen Prepelic to a three-year deal. Prepelic (1.91 meters, 19 years old) arrives from fellow Slovenian club Helios Domzale, for whom he shined at the senior level last season. He averaged 14.2 points and 3.1 assists per game in the Adriatic League and 16.7 points and 3.8 assists per game in the Slovenian League. He has dominated at the junior international level, where he amassed 16.3 points and 4.9 assists in earning all-tournament honors at the European Under-20 Championship this past summer. Now Prepelic steps up for his next challenge of proving his talent at the highest level.
