Zalgiris: Javtokas out 4-6 months
Robertas Javtokas - ZalgirisZalgiris suffered a blow with the news that veteran center Robertas Javtokas will need surgery and will miss the entire Turkish Airlines Euroleague regular season. Javtokas is scheduled to undergo an operation next week for a stress fracture in his foot. He first suffered the injury in July with the Lithuanian national team preparing for the Olympic Games. Javtokas will need to be in a cast for three months following the surgery and then will need an additional one-to-three months to return to playing shape. The 32-year-old big man averaged 6.3 points and 5.2 rebounds in the Euroleague last season, his first with Zalgiris. He is a former Euroleague and ULEB Cup champion.
