Asseco Prokom adds swingman Robinson

Frank Robinson - Union OlimpijaPerennial Polish champion Asseco Prokom Gdynia added to its roster with the signing of Frank Robinson. The swingman returns to the Euroleague for the second time after playing for Union Olimpija in the 2008-09 season. Robinson (1.97 meters, 28 years old) averaged 6.8 points in eight Euroleague games for Olimpija that season. He arrives from Israeli club BC Habikaa, where Robinson averaged 13.1 points, 5.8 rebounds and 2.5 assists in 18 games last season. It was his second straight season in Israel after suiting up for Maccabi Haifa in the 2010-11 campaign. Robinson played college basketball at East Carolina University and later at Cal State Fullerton. He was a teammate of Montepaschi Siena guard Bobby Brown at the latter. He remains among the Titans’ career leaders in three-pointers made (eighth, 140) and rebounds (ninth, 532). Robinson has since played for Olimpija in Slovenia and the Euroleague, Ludwigsburg in Germany, Los Angeles of the NBA D-League and the aforementioned Israeli clubs.
