The One Team project at Olympiacos Piraeus closed for this weekend's Greek Orthodox Easter with a special session attended by star players Kostas Papanikolaou and Ioannis Papapetrou. The two Olympiacos stars both serve as their club's ambassadors for One Team, Euroleague Basketball's social inclusion initiative.
This season Olympiacos is working with young people from The Horizon, a local center for the education of children with special needs, to teach life lessons through the power of basketball. The final session before the Easter break saw the two star players inspire and encourage the participants by taking part in the sessions, enjoying each other's company with fun and games, and finally handing out traditional Easter candles and cakes!
One Team, supported by Turkish Airlines as the One Team Founding Patron and with the collaboration of Special Olympics as Proud Partner, uses basketball to achieve meaningful social impact in our communities across Europe and is supported by every club in the Turkish Airlines EuroLeague and 7DAYS EuroCup. Since its founding in 2012, the One Team program has already helped more than 14,000 participants through its various team-focused projects.
