Main Life Skills: Self-confidence and Motivation

About the program: The club from the Croatian capital got its One Team initiative rolling for the fourth consecutive season by organizing a program to benefit people who have Down's Syndrome. Cedevita Zagreb decided to partner with Down21, an association that targets young people (aged 16-23), a demographic who become more and more marginalized and isolated, particularly when they leave school at 18.

The organization is unique in the city as it is run by parents of those with Down's Syndrome and specifically aims to change the lives of young adults whereas all other agencies work with children.

Participants in the program meet every 2 weeks on Monday under the guidance of One Team Coaches who use specially-designed basketball drills to develop key life skills. In particular, the drills focus on building self-confidence and motivation among the participants - inspiring them to reach their potential in life.
