About the program: Darussafaka Dogus Istanbul launched its second One Team program in collaboration with Darussafaka Society and Schools for children. Darussafaka Society is a well-known organization that has been working since 1863 to help the cohesion of orphan children to the community and it has high awareness within Turkish society. The 8-week project involves 1-hour weekly sessions, working with a group of 20 children (10 boys and 10 girls) of 12 years old at Darussafaka Ayhan Sahenk Sports Hall. The main objectives of the program is to increase the level of integration of orphan children in society and also remove the athletes from bad habits with basketball and team activities.

The program is integrated within the educational classes of the students at the Darussafaka Society School, this guarantees a high rate of attendance and involvement of the children towards the program. Darussafaka Dogus One Team Ambassador Furkan Aldemir and Head Coach David Blatt will join the One Team participants on court during the last phase of the program to share knowledge and experiences with the participants.
