Baltic League Playoffs, Eighthfinals Game 2: March 31, 2007 |
Kalev/Cramo Tallinn and ASK Riga advanced to the quarterfinal round of the Baltic League Playoffs with respective wins over Barons/LMT and Valmiera, respectively. Kalev will face face Ventspils and Riga gets Siauliai in the crucial series for berths in the the Final Four. Kalev scored a 72-82 road win at Barons after leading 33-34 at halftime and 52-56 at the end of the third quarter. Grego Arbet led the way for Kalev with 20 points, Kendirck Johnson amassed 19 points, Travis Reed 13 and Kristjan Kangur had a double-double with 10 points and 10 rebounds. Armands Skele was the main contributor for the Barons with 20. ASK Riga edged Valmiera 90-84 after trailing early. Valmiera led 30-35 at the end of the first quarter and 50-53 halftime, but Riga had the upper hand in the second half. Torraye Braggs led Riga with 27 points and 11 rebounds and Curtis Millage added 16, while Vladimir Stimac tallied 24 points and 10 rebounds for Valmiera.
