Austrian League Playoffs, Quarterfinals 1: April 26, 2007 Macabido Gunners Oberwart upset the slumping Kapfenberg Bulls 59-76 on the road Thursday in Game 1 of the Austrian League quarterfinals, while Kraftwerk Wels edged Worthersee Pirtaen 81-77. The Gunners took a 10-19 lead at the end of the first quarter and continued to outscore the Bulls in each of the three remaining periods to coast to a surprisingly easy win. Adam Boone led the way with 19 points and Armond Williams posted 18 points and 11 rebounds for Oberwart. Shawn Ray finished with 17 for Kapfenberg. Meanwhile Pavel Stanek led four Wels players in double figures with 18 points in a tough home win over Worthersee. The host led 46-40 at halftime and increased that to 64-46 on the way to victory. Flagan Prince added 16 for the winners, while Selmir Husanovic had 22 in defeat. Game 2 of both series will be played on Sunday, April 29.
