Latvian League, Semifinals, Game 2: April 27-28, 2007 |
Ventspils thrashed Liepajas Lauvas 54-97 Saturday to take a commanding 2-0 lead their best-of-five Latvian League semifinal series. Barons/LMT edged ASK Riga 73-72 to knot the other series at 1-1. Ventspils put the game away early with 5-23 first quarter. Pavels Veselovs led the way by scoring 23 points with 10 rebounds, Eddie Shannon had 19 points and 8 assists, Aigars Vitols 13 and Kaspars Cipruss 10. Game 3 is set for Thursday at Ventspils. Meanwhile Armands Skele had 23 points and Jerrod Rowlands 18 points and 6 assists for Barons as that series saw the second game end by 1 point. Torraye Braggs scored 17 for Riga.
