Serbian League second phase, Game 4: April 28-29, 2007 |
FMP took the big showdown in the Serbian League this weekend and got revenge from its Adriatic League final loss by edging Partizan 64-72 on the road on Saturday. Both teams now tie for the second spot in the Serbian League standings, each with a 3-1 record. Branko Cvetkovic led the winners with 22 points. Bojan Krstovic added 12, Milos Teodosic had 11 and Zoran Erceg got 10 for FMP. Milenko Tepic had 17 points for Partizan while Nikola Pekovic added 13. FMP overcame a slow start to get a 30-37 edge at the break and boosted its margin to 33-46 early in the third quarter. A 9-0 run brought Partizan back into the game but FMP overcame foul trouble to add a big road win. Hemofarm leads the Serbian League with a 4-0 record by beating Mega Ishrana 100-106 in overtime on Sunday. Vladan Vukosavljevic led the winners with 27 points. Bojan Bakic and Predrag Suput each had 13, Nebojsa Joksimovic and Milenko Topic added 11 apiece while Aleksej Nesovic and Stefan Markovic each got 10 for Hemofarm. Miroslav Markovic got 34 points on 11-of-11 shooting and 10-of-11 free throws for the hosts. Mega Ishrana rallied from a 25-point deficit in the second half to force overtime but Hemofarm prevailed. Crvena Zvezda improved to 2-2 by beating Masinac 80-93 behind 19 points each from Tadija Dragicevic and Petar Popovic. Kebu Stewart added 18 while Pero Antic got 10 for Zvezda. Finally, Sloga upset Vojvodina 78-82 behind 29 points from Milos Bojovic.
