Austrian League Quarterfinals, Game 5: May 10, 2007
Macabido Oberwart advanced to the Austrian League semifinals in shocking fashion! Oberwart knocked off the second-seeded team and did it is style by beating the Bulls 74-92 in do-or-die Game 5 on Thursday night. As such, Oberwart will face BSC Raiffeisen Panthers Furstenfeld in the semifinals while Allianz Swans Gmunden will go against WBC Kraftwerk Wels, that swept its quarterfinals series against Kelag Worthersee Piraten. Armond Williams paced the winners with 31 points and 9 rebounds. Adam Boone added 15 while Christoph Nagler had 14 for Oberwart. Jasmon Youngblood had 22 points for the Bulls, Ramiz Suljanovic added 17 while Moritz Lanegger and Heinz Kugerl each got 12. Oberwart led 12-20 after 10 minutes and boosted its margin to 26-47 at halftime, enough to control the game until the final buzzer.
