Greek League playoffs, quarterfinals, Game 3: Μay 17, 2007
Panagiotis Vassilopoulos - Olympiacos Olympiacos Piraeus grabbed the last ticket to the Greek League semifinals on Thursday by beating PAOK Thessaloniki 77-73 at the Peace and Friendship Stadium in Game 3 of the teams' quarterfinals series. The result sees the Reds join Panathinaikos, Aris and Panionios, all of whom swept their series 2-0, in the semis. Olympiacos will now face the other team from Thessaloniki, Aris, in the next stage, which is set to begin on Sunday at the Alexandrion in Thessaloniki. On Thursday, the hosts led from start to finish, with the advantage peaking at 58-36 late in the third quarter. However PAOK came back to cut the margin and make a game of it in the end. But with the game on the line, Henry Domercant made two free throws to seal the victory. Former PAOK player Panagiotis Vassilopoulos led Olympiacos with 14 points and 5 rebounds. Ryan Stack added 12 points and 7 boards and Arvydas Macijauskas had 11 points. Two former Olympiacos players kept the score up for PAOK: Lazaros Agadakos bagged 15 points and Giannis Kalambokis added 14 points.
