Austrian League playoffs, semifinals, Game 3: May 19, 2007
Swans Gmunden and Raiffeisen Panthers Furstenfeld took respective 2-1 leads in their Austrian League semifinals series with big wins on Saturday. The defending champs from Gmunden downed Kraftwerk Wels 75-64 and Furstenfeld outlasted Macabido Gunners Oberwart 103-96. Deteri Mayes scored 26 from Ian Boylan 20 to lead the Swans. At halftime, the scoring was tied at 35-35, but the hosts sparked with a 22-9 run in the third quarter to take the lead and they then cruised in the final minutes. Meanwhile in a run-and-gun style game, the Panthers took a 52-48 lead at halftime and prolonged their margin during the third quarter to 85-65. The Gunners caught fire and made a 31-18 run in the fourth quarter, but it wasn't enough to get the win. David Jandl was the main contributor for Gmunden with 25 points and Jason Detrick had 23, while Coir Muirhead posted 21 for the guests.
