Belgian League Finals, Game 2: June 2, 2007
Kelvin Tolbert (Picture: Jos Boonen - Euphony Bree) Euphony Bree bounced back from its initial loss in the Belgian League finals by downing Telindus Oostende 86-77 at home in Game 2 of the best-of-five finals on Saturday night. Series is now tied at 1-1 but Oostende hosts Game 3 on Wednesday. Kelvin Torbert paced the winners with 35 points on 5-of-6 two-pointers and 7-of-11 triples. Ben Ebong added 19 and 9 rebounds while Brian Lynch had 14 points for Bree. Rashad Wright led Oostende with 25 points on 6-of-9 triples. Elvir Ovcina added 12 while Veselin Petrovic had 11 for the guests, who trailed 35-26 midway through the second quarter. Wright had 8 unanswered points to bring Oostende back tolife, 40-40, at halftime. Tolbert buried 3 triples in the third quarter while Lynch allowed Bree to get a 64-58 edge after 30 minutes. Bree opened the fourth quarter with an 11-0 run that Jim Cantamessa capped with a three-pointer, enough for the hosts to boost their margin to 75-58 and never look back.
