Czech League Finals, Game 2: June 6, 2007 |
CEZ Basketball Nymburk is just one win away from defending its Czech League title by downing BK Prostejov 80-90 in Game 2 on the best-of-five finals on Wednesday. As such, Nymburk leads the series 2-0 and has a good chance to win in title, as it hosts Game 3 as soon as this Saturday. Monty Mack paced the winners with 27 points on 11-of-13 free throws and 6 assists. Radoslav Rancik added 22 points on 8-of-11 two-pointers while Ladislav Sokolovsky posted a double-double of 17 points and 11 rebounds for Nymburk. Cameron Crisp had 22 points for Prostejov, Sylvere Bryan added 16, Daniel Novak 14 and Radek Necas 11 for the hosts, who led 24-20 after 10 minutes. Nymburk recovered from a slow start in the second quarter, getting a 38-44 halftime edge and extending it to 56-63 after 30 minutes. Crisp tried to keep Prostejov close, but Nymburk escaped with a valuable win that gets the team closer to win its fourth consecutive Czech League title.
