Adam Hess - Artland Dragons (Photo: Artland Dragons) The Artland Dragons took a 1-0 lead in the best-of-five German League finals by downing Brose Baskets 69-70 in Bamberg on Sunday on a buzzer-beating basket by Darius Hall! The Dragons stole the home court advantage, as it leads the series 1-0 and hosts Game 2 in Quakenbruck on Thursday. Filiberto Rivera led the winners with 16 points. Bryan Bailey added 12, Chad Prewitt had 11 while Lamont McIntosh got 10 for the winners, but it was Hall who stole the show. Casey Jacobsen had 18 points for Brose Baskets, Vincent Yarbrough added 15 and Darren Fenn had 13. The Dragons felt no pressure in front of 6,800 fans, as late shots by Jan Rohdewald and Bailey helped the guests to get a 15-22 edge after 10 minutes. Bemberg used a 10-2 run that Jacobsen capped with a ñayup to get back ahead, 25-24, but Rivera and Prewitt still made the Dragons regain the lead, 35-40, at halftime. The Dragons kept a slim lead throughout the second half - until a triple by Tim Begley gave Brose Baskets a 64-63 edge. The game turned into a thriller once Bailey tied it at 68-68. The Dragons fouled on Yarbrough, who made 1 of 2 free throws with 7.5 seconds to go. Hall stepped up with a put-back basket that won the game for the Dragons at the buzzer.
