German League Finals, Game 2: June 21, 2007
K`Zell Wesson Brose Baskets Brose Baskets turned the table in the German League finals by pulling off a 74-77 victory on the road at Artland Dragons in Game 2 of their best-of-five series. Since Artland had taken the first game in Bamberg, the series is now tied 1-1 with no home team having won yet. In Game 2, Brose rallied from 4 points behind heading into the final quarter to escape with the victory and stay alive in the series. Dominance on the backboards was key for Brose, which outrebounded Artland 29-37, including 17 pulled on the offensive glass offensive. Darren Fenn finished with a team-high 19 points for Brose. Vincent Yarbrough added 18 points and Casey Jacobsen 14. K'Zell Wesson had 11 points and pulled 13 of those rebounds, while Steffen Hamann scored 10 points. For Artland, Bryan Bailey pumped in 25 points. He was followed by Lamont McIntosh with 13 points and Darius Hall with 10. After the first quarter finished tied, 19-19, Artland opened up a 42-37 halftime lead and was still ahead by 55-51 after a defensive-minded third quarter. Out of nowhere, however, Brose exploded for 26 points in the fourth to tie the series. Game 3 is in Bamberg on Saturday.
