Mike Batiste - Panathinaikos Panathinaikos rallied from a 6-point deficit in the last 50 seconds to beat rival Olympiacos 73-74 in the Athens derby on Sunday night. The result leaves Panionios, which escaped from AEL with a 64-66 win, as the only undefeated team in Greece after four games. Panathinaikos improves to 3-1, while Olympiacos drops to the same record. Aris TT Bank, which defeated Olympia Larissas 64-54, joins its Euroleague counterparts in a three-way tie for second place. Giannis Gagaloudis scored 19 points to lead AEK Athens over Maroussi 82-79, while PAOK edged Panellinios 79-78. In other games over the weekend, Egaleo defeated Apollon Patras 101-92 behind Robert Sarovic's 32 points, while Olympiada, beat Makedonikos 69-60 thanks to 15 points from Lewis Sims. Dimitris Diamantidis and Mike Batiste were the heroes of the Greens' comeback win at the Peace and Friendship Stadium. Diamantidis scored 18 points on 5-of-6 three-point shooting, 5 rebounds, 3 assists and 3 steals, while Batiste scored 7 of his 14 points in the last 30 seconds, including a basket and foul that proved to be the difference with 14 seconds to go. Ramunas Siskauskas added 17, while Sani Becirovic had 12, including a lay up that cut the margin to 73-71 with 19 seconds remaining. That was five seconds before Damir Mulaomerovic's turnover on the inbounds pass allowed Diamantidis the opportunity to steal and pass the ball to Batiste for the tying lay up and the winning free throw. Henry Domercant led Olympiacos with 19 points on 5-of-6 three-point shooting, while Scoonie Penn added 15, 6 boards and 3 assists. Alex Acker contributed 12 points and 8 rebounds, while Andrija Zizic had 9 and 6 boards. Penn had the ball with a chance to win in the closing seconds, but his last shot was stopped by Batiste.

Aris outscored Olympia Larissas in each of the first three quarters as its lead reached 20 at one point. Olympia mounted a late comeback, holding Aris to just 9 fourth-quarter points, but Savvas Iliadis ended all doubt with a late score for the hosts. Jeremiah Massey had 12 and Mike Wilkinson 10 for Aris, while Giorgos Tsiaras led Olympia with 13. AEK's Gagaloudis made four free throws in the final minute to secure his team's narrow win over Maroussi. Nikos Vetoulas added 14, while Brent Scott and Nestoras Kommatos had 10 apiece.
