Bulgarian League, Game 7: November 4, 2006
CSKA Sofia edged Balkan 73-70 to remain the undefeated leader in the Bulgarian League. Balkan's Pavel Nykov missing a potential lay-up that could have won it and then Deon Thomas sealed it for CSKA with a slam at the buzzer. Balkan's Dwayne Morton led all scorers with 28 points – shooting a perfect 8-of-8 on two-pointers. Greg Danielson led CSKA with 19 points and 8 rebounds, Thomas scored 16 off the bench and Dimitar Mirakovski ran the show with 9 assists. Lukoil Academic Sofia topped Cherno More IG 77-98 te remain one game behind rival CSKA for first. Todor Stoytkov had 22 and Lamont Jones 20 for Lukoil, which trailed 43-40 at halftime, but took control with an amazing 12-31 third quarter. Gjorgji Cekovski had 15 points and 9 rebounds and Thomas Mobley 10 for the victors, while Leven Belberov scored 14 in defeat. Simon Tsenov scored 27 points to lead Dunav Rouse to its second win of the season, 69-51 over Spartak MVR. Levski beat Yambol 87-73 behind 26 points by Stefan Georgiev and 22 from Stanislav Slaveykov. Spartak Pleven thrashed Rilski Sportist 63-88 as Hrisimir Dimitrov scored 23 points.
