Panathinaikos and Aris continued to lead the Greek League with home wins over Apollon Patras and Egaleo, respectively. The short-handed Greens won 81-61 as Sani Becirovic scored 26 and the Yellows won 66-62 behind 2 points and 14 rebounds from Jeremiah Massey. Giannis Bourousis scored the final 7 points for his team as Olympiacos escaped from Olympiada Patras with a tough 68-75 win. Panionios and Stratos Perperoglou dominated struggling AEK 93-71. PAOK outlasted Olympia Larissa 95-98 through a perfect shooting night from Giannis Kalabokis. In other games, AEL defeated Makedonikos 79-81 on the road thanks to an Arthur Lee layup at the buzzer. Lee and Nikos Papanikolopoulos led the winners with 16 apiece, while Makedonikos had three players with at least 20 points (Reda Rhalini 24, Dwayne Jefferson 23 and Christos Karavolas 20). Maroussi had no problems against Panellinios, winning 88-70 behind 20 points from Renaldas Seibutis and 16 from Ermin Jazvin. Anthony Goldwire had 19 and 6 assists for Panellinios.
Panathinaikos was without three players – big men Dejan Tomasevic and Dimos Dikoudis and swingman Ramunas Siskauskas – and Kostas Tsartsaris left the game early with a face injury during the first period and did not return. However the Greens still proved to strong for Apollon and went on to win 81-61. Becirovic scored 20 of his 26 points in the last quarter, while Tony Delk added 20 and Mike Batiste 12. Ivo Josipovic’s 17 points were not enough for the visiting team, whose coach Ivica Buric was making his debut in the top Greek division. In Thessaloniki, Aris led by 47-26 early in the third period, but allowed Egaleo come back before finally winning the game 66-62. Massey led the winners with 12 points and 14 rebounds, while Giorgos Kalaitzis added 10 and Mike Wilkinson and Dimitris Tsaldaris 9 apiece. Rashad Anderson had 16 for the visitors.
Olympiacos had a tough time in Patras without the injured Damir Mulaomerovic and Sofoklis Schortsanitis, but the Reds woke up in the last period to take a 68-75 road win. Bourousis scored 20 points – including the last 7 for Olympiacos – and grabbed 7 boards, while Henry Domercant led all scorers with 24 points. Alex Acker added 11. Kostas Harisis led the home team with 15 points and 6 boards. Panionios had a lousy first half, but still led 40-39 at halftime. Then they went out and crushed AEK in the second half for a 93-71 win. Perperoglou led the winners with 25 points, while Andre Hutson and Kennedy Winston added 17 and 15 points, respectively. Nestoras Kommatos led AEK with 23 and 7 rebounds, while Giannis Gagaloudis contributed 16 and 5 assists and Jasmin Perkovic had 10. In Larissa, PAOK outlasted Olympia 95-98 through 28 points on perfect shooting from Kalabokis (4/4 2-point shots, 5/5 3-pointers, 5/5 free throws). Darius Washington and Jason Parker added 21 and 18 points, respectively, while Lazaros Agadakos had 10. Giorgos Printezis scored 26 for the home team.
