Cibona had to battle hard to beat Hemofarm 97-92 and stay atop the Adriatic League standings with a 16-4 record. Chris Warren led the winners with 25 points and Andrew Wisniewski added 21, but Marton Bader had 7 in a 12-2 run which sealed the win in the final 4 minutes. Aleksej Nesovic led 7 Hemofarm players in double digits with 19 points. Partizan ties for the second place with a 15-5 record by beating archrivals Crvena Zvezda 76-88 in Belgrade on Sunday. Partizan improved to 15-5 while Zvezda dropped to 11-9. Vonteego Cummings led the way for Partizan with 28 points on 3-of-3 triples and 9-of-10 free throws. Milan Gurovic led Zvezda with 32 points on 17-of-18 free throws. FMP improved to 15-5 and keeps tying for the second spot in the standings by downing Geoplin Slovan 108-92 in Zeleznik on Saturday. Zoran Erceg led the way for FMP with 21 points while Predrag Samardziski added 20. Union Olimpija improved to 9-11 by beating Zadar 89-79 in Ljubljana on Saturday behind 34 points on 8 of 12 three-pointers from Teemu Rannikko. In other games, Bosna Asa BHT edged Zagreb 85-80 in overtime, Buducnost beat Split 77-86 while Helios Domzale topped Siroki Prima Pivo 81-71 behind 20 points from Robert Troha.
Partizan took the big Serbian showdown in the Adriatic League this week by beating archrivals Crvena Zvezda 76-88 in Belgrade on Sunday. Partizan improved to 15-5 while Zvezda dropped to 11-9. Vonteego Cummings led the way for Partizan with 28 points on 3-of-3 triples and 9-of-10 free throws. Kosta Perovic added 22 on 10-of-15 two-pointers for Partizan. Milan Gurovic led Zvezda with 32 points on 17-of-18 free throws while Tadija Dragicevic added 15. Gurovic had 10 points to make Zvezda get a 23-15 lead, but Nikola Pekovic and an outstanding Perovic allowed Partizan to reach halftime with a 34-38 edge. Cummings and Uros Tripkovic fueled a 0-13 run which gave Partizan a 40-53 lead midway through the third quarter, while Cummings had 12 points in the final 5 minutes to make the guests keep a safe lead until the final buzzer. FMP improved to 15-5 and keeps tying for the second spot in the standings by downing Geoplin Slovan 108-92 in Zeleznik on Saturday. Zoran Erceg led the way for FMP with 21 points. Predrag Samardziski added 20, Branko Cvetkovic had 16 and Bojan Krstovic 10 for FMP. Slovan led 53-55 late in the first half, but a 15-0 run with Aleksandar Rasic capped with a triple gave FMP a 68-57 lead midway through the third quarter. FMP boosted its margin to 90-71 early in the final period and cruised to a well-deserved win.

Kus and Wisniewski fueled a 17-0 run which made the hosts get a 63-55 lead after the break, but Topic, Borisov and Besovic helped Hemofarm to get a 85-90 edge with 5 minutes to go. Bader stepped up with 7 quick points and Warren added one from downtown in a 12-2 run which sealed the outcome down the stretch. Union Olimpija improved to 9-11 by beating Zadar 89-79 in Ljubljana on Saturday. Teemu Rannikko paced the winners with 34 points on 8 of 12 three-pointers. Manu Markoishvili added 19 while Goran Jurak had 12 for Olimpija. Rannikko had 9 points late in the first quarter for a 26-15 lead after 10 minutes, and Olimpija extended its margin to 47-31 at halftime. Rannikko buried 6 triples in the next 13 minutes, as Olimpija boosted its margin to 77-52 and did not have problems to add another win.
