Bulgarian League, Phase 2, Game 5: February 24, 2007 Lukoil Academic Sofia continued its stellar form in the Bulgarian League by beating Spartak Pleven on the road 80-92 to remain unbeaten in the second phase after five games. The hosts led 24-14 at the end of the first quarter and were up 41-31 at halftime, but Academic used a 19-32 third quarter to take the lead after 30 minutes and to extended it in the final 10. Riste Stefanov, Todor Stoykov and Donta Smith posted 18 points apiece for the winners, while Lamont Jones added 16 and Gjorgji Cekovski had 15 points and 8 rebounds. Hrisimir Dimitrov scored 18 in defeat. CSKA had an easy time with Balkan, winning 89-65 behind 13 points from Adrian Pledger while Alvin Jones amassed 12 points and 10 rebounds. And Yulian Radionov hit the buzzer-beater from downtown to give Levski an 86-83 success over Cherno More IG.
