 MyGuide Amsterdam is the new Dutch League champions! Amsterdam dethroned defending champion EiffelTowers Den Bosch to win the best-of-seven series 4-3. Amsterdam reached its first title since 2005 and the sixth in the last 11 years by topping EiffelTowers 81-74 in Game 7 in the Dutch capital on Sunday. Teddy Gipson became the game hero by hitting back-to-back triples late in the fourth quarter to put Amsterdam ahead for good. He also led the winners with 27 points on 5-for-9 three-pointers and 4-for-4 free throws. Tamien Trent added 15, Avis Wyatt had 14 while Jeron Roberts got 12 for Amsterdam. Robert Owens and Darell Tucker led EiffelTowers each with 17 points. Kees Akerboom added 16 on 8-for-8 free throws while Travis Young got 10 for the guests, that had a 13-point lead in the second quarter and still kept a 64-65 edge with 6 minutes remaining.
