Pooh Jeter and Artur Drozdov combined for 54 points to lead BC Kyiv to a 91-72 win over Azovmash Mariupol in Game 1 of the Ukrainian League Finals. The hosts led by double figures already in the opening period before Panagiotis Liadellis heated up for Azovmash to cut the gap to 22-16 after 10 minutes. Kyiv regained the momentum and increased its lead to 49-35 by halftime. The visitors fought back to within 6 only to see a three-point play by Jeter make it 64-55 heading into the last period. Then Kyiv heated up from downtown with 3 triples to go up 73-56 and put the game out of reach. Jeter paced Kyiv with 28 points and Artur Drozdov posted 26 and 7 rebounds. Josh Davis added 9 points and 8 boards for the winners. Liadellis led Mariupol with 17 points, Yahor Meshcharakou scored 16, Tomas Delininkaitis 12 and Gerrod Henderson 10. Game 2 is set for Monday in Kyiv.
